Description

Heat recovery unit Ambientika Smart with 160 mm diameter hole. With integrated sensor technology.

SMART mode:

Based on the measurement values from 4 integrated sensors in the indoor unit, the ventilation system independently decides how best to ventilate the space in order to achieve perfect air quality in the living space. The measurement values are compared with the nearest weather station
• Internal temperature sensor;
• Humidity sensor;
• Twilight sensor
• VOC sensor (p.s. this air quality sensor does not directly detect CO2, but it does allow for a good approximation of carbon dioxide measurement through detection of volatile organic compounds)

When these three conditions occur at the same time:
Indoor temperature > 24 °C
Outdoor temperature > 20 °C
Outdoor T < indoor T
the ventilation system switches to "summer mode" and only works in FREE COOLING mode without heat recovery

 
Once the lighting in the master ventilation room is dimmed, the Ambientika Smart D160mm transitions to its ultra-quiet night mode.

Handling

Can be controlled with the Ambientika app (Download on Google Play or AppStore).

1. When a button is pressed in the APP, the APP communicates with the Südwind SERVER via the internet. The Südwind SERVER in turn communicates with the ventilation unit’s master unit via the internet.
2. If the INTERNET or the SERVER are not working properly for any reason, then the device can no longer be controlled via the APP. (The only option for then controlling it is the optional remote control) In this case, the master ventilation unit continues to function in the last mode selected, unless it is controlled using the remote control, until the home WiFi network is reactivated (even without internet access).
3. If the SERVER or the INTERNET are not working properly and the master ventilation units are in SMART mode (mode in which the information gathered online is used), then the devices continue to function with the last weather data they received before the problem occurred. As soon as the devices get an internet connection again, the data will be updated automatically.

Placement

If more than one appliance is installed, they should be installed as far apart as possible. This ventilates the whole living space, giving the most effective ventilation effect. One appliance covers approximately 30 m² of living space.

Function

The product is equipped with a ceramic heat exchanger that stores heat when the air is exhausted from the room and transfers the heat stored in the heat exchanger to the incoming air when the air is exhausted from the outside. The heat exchanger shall be wall-mounted. The pipe inside which the ceramic heat exchanger is located shall be fitted with walls having a maximum thickness of 400/500 mm. The pipe may be shortened to a minimum of 250 mm.
